Fusion of flavors and heritage!
As part of making the short holidays of my daughter enjoyable, we decided to explore some delectable seafoods in a heritage backdrop..π₯π₯ππ.
Fort Kochi being the ideal destination for the same, before start, we just googled seafood restaurants in Fort Kochi and discovered Fusion Bay, with good reviews. We wasted no time and headed to Fort Kochi. π
We steered through the streets of Thoppumpady and Fort Kochi where nostalgic memories of my school and college days in 80βs and early 90βs made me travel back to my teens.π¨πΊ
Again, if you are a foodie, no doubt, you are at the right place! A string of heritage restaurants and upscale eateries are waiting for you. The greenery streets will take you back to the colonial era with Portuguese, Dutch and British architectural buildings dominating the surroundings.
Coming back to Fusion Bay, we were at its doorstep on time to find a heritage house converted restaurant. Not very spacious, yet well-maintained, aesthetic artworks with a cozy ambience. Perfect! The stage is set. Now, the most important item, the food!
To our table, came a young man with an order book in hand. Having done the menu scan by that time, we ordered few appealing items and waited for its arrival. Meanwhile, the well-mannered server came up with the fresh and cleaned Karimeen on a plate, before its marination ceremony.
Finally, the wait has ended and itβs food time! Loved the Karimeen Pollichathu.. perfectly cooked and delicious! The flavour of Portuguese Rice and Squid Ularthiyathu is simply luscious!!ππβ€οΈβ€οΈ
Overall, enjoyed the drive as well as the yummy food which made our tummy full!!β€οΈβ€οΈ
(Really missed the physical presence of my better half and my son who being stuck in another part of the world, due to Covid restrictions; Miles apart, but we all were together the whole day!).β€οΈπ
